The launch of the World Happiness Report 2026 on Thursday March 19 will be marked by a global series of events across eight cities over six months, bringing together experts and partners to explore the report’s latest findings on wellbeing and social media.
The World Happiness Report 2026 brings together a wide range of perspectives to examine key questions about the effects of social media on well-being across different age groups and cultures. The report aims to establish the evidence, clarify areas of disagreement, and offer a balanced assessment of what research currently shows, what remains uncertain, and what actions may be needed going forward.
The World Happiness Report is published by the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford, in partnership with Gallup, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and an independent editorial board.
